Early Byrds our breakfast club runs every day during term-time for children in Reception up Year 6. We run a ‘drop-in’ system, so there is no need to book in advance. Breakfast club takes place in the Infant Dinner hall area, and is run by Miss Darby and supported by other staff. All our staff attend regular training relating to child care, child protection, and first aid.
Early Byrds takes place every morning during term-time, Monday to Friday, from 7:45am to 8:40am. If you don’t want to drop your child as early as 7:45am, you may drop them at any time until 8:10am, the cost of the session will be the same. There will be no entry into breakfast club after 8:10am.
One session at Early Byrds costs £1
Dropping off your child
A member of staff will open the doors to allow the entry of pupils to the Infant Hall at 7:45am. Please do not leave your child alone outside before the doors open. An adult will then accompany children to class after Early Byrds is finished.
What your child will receive at Early Byrds
Breakfast food choices on offer include:
- Various spreads
- Fresh fruit
- Fruit juice, milk and water
A selection of the above will be available daily, if your child has any specific dietary requirements you must inform us beforehand so that we can cater for them. Children are encouraged to help make their own breakfast!
After breakfast there will be a range of activities available, such as colouring, crafts and other active fun and games. We also read a story to the children on a daily basis which the children thoroughly enjoy.
Please speak to Miss Darby if you have any questions, queries or concerns and she will be happy to help you. You can email her on firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 01895 462 394.
