One of the areas we are always keen to improve on is how we communicate to local communities and explain the work we are doing to keep them safe. With that in mind we would like to highlight a new service we are launching called Met Engage.
On Wednesday 18th June, Year 2 had the opportunity to visit Odd's Farm Park, which was connected to our science unit on animals, living things, and their habitats. The aim of this trip was to learn about different animals and their habitats, understand what animals need to survive and grow, and recognise the various foods that animals eat.
What an unforgettable experience our Year 3 children had at their recent school sleepover! Excitement was in the air from the moment they arrived, bags in hand, ready for an evening of fun, laughte and adventure with their classmates.

This week was Mental Health Week (Monday 12th May - Friday 16th May) and the theme was ‘community’.

On the 12th March we celebrated Young Carers Action Day. This year’s theme is "Give Me A Break", focusing on the importance of rest and respite for young carers.
In History this term, year 2 have been looking at monarchs and what life was like living under their ruling over the years.
On Friday 7th February we wore our scarves to school for Children’s Mental Health Week. This week’s theme is ‘Grow Yourself, Know Yourself.’
On the 13th of December, our choir sang alongside a brass band at the first ever Christmas on Harlington green. We sang two full sets and celebrated the holiday season with our community members!
This year once again, Heathrow generously donated a beautiful Christmas tree and decorations to our school.
We had the great pleasure of hosting a Tree Planting Event at our school. Thanks to the Woodland Trust and their generous donation, we were able to plant 100 trees.
On Friday 15th November, the William Byrd choir was invited to sign at the Hillingdon Civic Center lights turning on event! We sang 5 songs, 2 of which were accompanied by a brass band! We even met the mayor of Hillingdon! Our choir really represented our school well at this event!
