2022-2023 has been an amazing year for William Byrd and we had lots to celebrate in our End of Year Celebration Assembly. We are incredibly proud of our children and staff who are always striving to do their best and a special thanks to our parents/carers for always supporting us.
We were very excited to invite our parents for the last time this year to come and celebrate with us.
We asked our Nursery children if they would like to help us with secret mission. All of them were very excited and curious to hear what we had planned. We bought two white dresses for Mrs Ferreira and Mrs K and we asked the children to decorate them.
The Reception children had an amazing time participation in a trip to Ruislip Lido.

Year 2 were very proud to exhibit their Paul Cezanne, still life artwork, the fruits, vegetables and utensils were created using paper mache and clay.
On 28th June, a few of our children attended the Diana Award Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme in Wembley. The Anti-Bullying Ambassador Programme equips students and staff with the tools needed to raise awareness of bullying behaviour and supports schools and young people to tackle it.
What an exciting term it was in Reception!
William Byrd Primary Academy are extremely proud to celebrate the 400 years death anniversary of William Byrd – the Father of British Music.
Year 2 celebrated Science Week by taking part in an eggtastic experiment! The children used their knowledge on materials to design and make a protective vessel for an egg.
Year 2 have been learning about Still Life in Art, they have studied, analysed and expressed their opinions on the art work of Paul Cezanne and Vincent Van Gogh.

In Nursery this term we have been busy with the topic 'On the beach'. We have been exploring the seaside and all sea life creatures. We have been reading the story 'Barry the Fish with Fingers' and 'The Rainbow Fish'.
