Rememberance Day

On Friday 9th November William Byrd took part in various activities to show our respect as part of Remembrance Day.  It was lovely to see so many of our children and staff wearing red poppies across the school.   A total of £176.23 was raised by the school in this year's Poppy Appeal.

6O did a fantastic Key Stage 2 assembly telling us all about the purpose of Remembrance Day and the significance of the red poppy.  Key Stage 1 also held a remembrance assembly run by the teachers.

The whole school observed a two minute silence as a mark of respect.
