World Mental Awareness Day

On Friday 15th October William Byrd wore yellow to spread awareness to show young people they're not alone in their mental illness for World Mental Awareness Day #HelloYellow.

On Friday 15th October William Byrd wore yellow to spread awareness to show young people they're not alone in their mental health for World Mental Health Awareness Day #HelloYellow.

All the classes took part in various fun activities throughout the day which related to promoting positive mental health. Our school ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) Ms Houston beautifully hand painted some stones with inspirational messages to spread positivity around the school. The idea was for the children to find a stone and read the message, think about the meaning, what it means to them and then hide it for someone else to find.

Children throughout the day were excited to find the stones and had a lot of fun hiding them again for someone else to find.
