We have been celebrating mental health week. The theme is ‘Anxiety’, which is one of the most common mental health problems that people face. 1 in 6 children suffer from anxiety.
The pupils in reception explored the surrounding natural environment, made observations, and created drawings of various plants and animals.

Here at William Byrd, staff and students were invited to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla on Friday, May 5. The pupils were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue.
To celebrate coronation of King Charles III Reception children wore red, blue and white colours and participated in a wide range of activities related to the "King's pants" story written by N. Allan.
Year 2 had the most amazing school trip to Odds Farm Park in High Wycombe, they got to meet, greet, feed and cuddle with many different animals.
Today we had an exciting day, with our first lovely Egg hunt where children with parents found some little gifts and at the end yummy eggs.
This half term, Year 5 have explored the natural world across the curriculum including through our Reading text 'The Explorer' by Katherine Rundell which was also the focus of our narrative writing this term.
