We marked the start of Anti-Bullying week this year with Odd Socks Day on Monday 13 November.
Children and staff were invited to come to school wearing odd socks to celebrate their individuality and what makes them all unique.
This year the event focusses on the importance of acts of kindness, starting with 'One Kind Word'.
On Friday 10th November we celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, at our school. Children and staff came to school wearing their Diwali/party clothes, and they looked fantastic.
On Friday 10th November children and staff across the school observed a 2-minute silence at 11am to remember those that gave their lives in war.
The whole school produced some lovely works of art and writing on the day. Our EYFS classes created some fabulous displays for everyone to enjoy. Nursery children also decorated their very own biscuits with poppies and took these home to enjoy with their family.
We are pleased to announce we raised £185.23 for this year's Poppy Appeal. Thank you to everyone for their support.
This week our Anti–Bullying Ambassadors introduced themselves to the school and delivered an Anti-Bullying assembly.
In Nursery our topic this term is 'Let's Explore'. We have kick-started our adventures with a story by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury, 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'.
On Tuesday 7th November the Reception children took part in a Dental Workshop.
The hardworking volunteers joined us this half term holiday to carry out some much-needed improvements to our garden space. It was wonderful to see so many people give up their time.
In Year 6, we recently had an amazing visit to the Tate Modern galleries. Our main aim was to explore black art and artists through the Contemporary African Photography exhibition and other installations.
We are proud to announce that, following a visit from Hillingdon's SEND team last term, our hard work and commitment to inclusion was celebrated in Hillingdon's SEND Inclusion Newsletter.
Nursery finished the term by having a little exhibition for parents and called it Our Little Wonders. Children created various art pieces and sculptures all related to their learning this term.
Our Reception children went for an autumn walk which marked the beginning of their new project 'Exploring Autumn'. Children wore welly boots and went to look for signs of the new season.
