Year 6 Energy Live Science Event

The children witnessed and helped demonstrate how powerful the force of friction can be by taking part in a tug of war between 2 books which had their pages laced together.

We watched some amazing uses of different materials as a source of fuel and saw the Scientist 'blow fire' using flour as her fuel source! We also made some rockets using electronic matches and butane! Many children came back feeling really inspired about both the opportunities they'll have at secondary school and how exiting Science can be!
